Vaiano is part of Villastrada, known as ‘The green heart of Tuscany’. Villastrada, whose origins go back to the 1600s, is a little town of 490 inhabitants. It is situated on the hills between Val di Chiana and Lake Trasimeno. An authentic Italian village with a little food shop with delicious delicacies, a post office and Bar Burini, famous for their homemade pizzas and ice cream. There are also many ‘festas’ in the summer. In July they have 9 days the ‘Sagra del Brustico e del ProsciuttoMelone’ with typical food and live music.

A row of cypress trees give you a warm, typical welcome to Torre di Tabacco. At the end of the road, on the slope of the valley of Vaiano, you see our Umbrian property with tobacco tower. Many generations produced tobacco here, and the tower was used to dry the tobacco. The farmhouse is carefully renovated with respect to the traditional local style. Here you find peace and quiet, and a beautiful panorama with olive trees and farmland. Welcome.

You can visit the villages nearby and enjoy the cosy pubs and restaurants. You can also wander around in our own garden with olive trees and herbs. A swimming pool is discretely situated below the main building.

Torre di Tabacco has room for 8 guests. There is an apartment for 4  people with a separate terrace.  We also have 2 B&B rooms with a bathroom and a living room with a fireplace and a terrace with magnificent views. We make you feel at home with children’s books, BBQ, WIFI. The catered breakfast is prepared with products of the region. Gluten free products are served on demand.
